Corporate Social Responsibility

Warners take a socially responsible approach to its staff, its clients, its professional contacts and its suppliers. We recognise that our work may have a direct or indirect effect on the local, regional and global environment. We are committed to reducing any harmful effects on the environment that our work might have and promote the understanding of sustainability in its broadest context.

By demonstrating our commitment to CSR we aim to align our business values, purposes and strategy with the needs of our clients, whilst embedding such responsible and ethical principles into everything we do.

Charities

We support local charities through regular and one-off fundraising events and employees choose the principle charity to support each year.  This year we are supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Policy Overview

Responsibility for CSR performance rests with the entire Warners team and is about balancing the interests of our stakeholders with our wider community responsibilities.

The firm is managed in an ethical way, respecting traditional best practice in areas such as client confidentiality, risk management, conflict of interest and health and safety.

The firm is committed to avoiding discrimination in its dealings with clients, Members, employees and all other third parties that have dealings with the firm. It is committed to promoting diversity in its professional activities. Everyone at the firm is expected, and required, to treat all others equally and with the same attention, courtesy and respect.

Our Environment

Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of the Warners values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice.  Care for the environment is one of our key responsibilities and an important part of the way in which we do business.

We comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice.

We continue to develop our management process to ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation.

Like most major businesses we recycle toner cartridges and IT equipment and we re-use paper whenever possible. Whilst the nature of our work is paper-intensive, we are committed to reducing the amount of paper that we use and to recycling wherever possible – to be a “less paper” office as we cannot be a “paper-less” one.

We use local suppliers where possible.

Our Staff

We aim to provide a fulfilling and rewarding career for all our employees. We are fully committed to promoting a culture of equality, of opportunity, fairness, inclusivity and respect for all.

The Future

We will strive to reduce our energy consumption even further, by making better use of natural light through open plan layouts, using the latest environmental standards and incorporating energy saving devices. In addition, we will continue to encourage our staff to further reduce the impact of vehicle emissions by promoting other schemes (such as using public transport, cycling, walking etc.

Clients

We ensure that we deal responsibly, openly and fairly with clients and potential clients by:

Ensuring that all our advertising and documentation about the business and its activities are clear, informative, legal, decent, honest and truthful.

Being open and honest about our products and services and telling customers what they want to know, including what we do to be socially responsible

Ensuring that if something goes wrong we will acknowledge the problem and deal with it.

We will listen to our clients so that this can help us improve the products and services we offer to them.

Ensure that we benchmark and evaluate what we do in order to constantly improve our competitive edge in the marketplace.
