Warners Moonwalkers Help to Raise Over £2,000 For Charity

This past Saturday, a team of seven from Warners laced up their walking boots, decorated their bras and set out to raise money for charity as they took part in the MoonWalk Scotland.

Setting out from Holyrood Park just before midnight, the team of Angela McFarlane, David Marshall, Ellen McWhirter, Emma Meechan, Holly Lewis, Louise Smith and Rae Martin embarked on a 13.1mile walk around Edinburgh as they helped to raise awareness and money for breast cancer charities.

Fortunately, the weather on the evening was fantastic allowing the team to enjoy some spectacular views of the city including as they walked round The Crags, up towards the castle then heading west before looping back through Dean Village and ultimately finishing back at Holyrood Park.

The walk was completed in just under four hours, and so far the team has raised over £2,000, with Warners contributing an additional £350 to cover their entry fees.

After completing the walk Holly Lewis, Property Sales Negotiator with Warners said: “I’m sure that there will be a few aches and pains in the morning but it was a fun evening and thankfully we got really lucky with the weather. Most importantly though, I’m delighted that we were able to raise so much money for a fantastic cause and the team are all incredibly grateful to everyone who donated to us.”
